This opportunity will see you delivering projects across Tasmania. Projects include refurbishments, repairs, remediation and upgrade projects in marine, utility, infrastructure, defence, commercial and industrial environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Overall management of construction projects from initial setup through to completion
- Liaise closely with the client ensuring project runs to program
- Oversee compliance with HSEQ requirements
- Ensure effective cost control and efficient running of the project
- Engage & coordinate direct labour and subcontractors
- Project progress reporting and conducting weekly meetings
- Provision of advice on any technical and engineering issues
- Involvement with tendering/estimation
- Raise RFI’s and track responses
YOUR EXPERIENCE
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Construction Management (or similar)
- Strong planning and coordination abilities; solid MS Project skills
- Experience in a comparable role within the construction and remediation industry
- A high level of understanding and commitment for safety
- Sound contract management knowledge and experience
- Strong, positive and inclusive leadership and management skills
- Experience in leading a team of engineers, HSEQ, direct workforce and subcontractors
